Bistrot Macro Vegan in Province of Bergamo

"When we visited Bergamo with my family, we looked for a restaurant with vegan options since I'm vegan. It was a fantastic experience for all of us, and we'll definitely go back there when we're in the area. The food was amazing, with great attention to ingredient combinations. The chef even came to chat with us about the dishes and their preparation. He and his wife were super friendly hosts, making the visit even better."

"This restaurant is absolutely lovely. The service was brilliant. The chef even gave me a recipe for the tomato sauce. The young woman who served us was very helpful and really nice. We had a 3 course vegan meal the 1st course was given to us free. It was a polenta dish. We would definitely go back to this restaurant. The food was delicious ."

"Nice service and atmosphere. The appetizers were really good (spring rolls and some kind of fried vegetables balls). The main courses were ok but not impressive, cannelloni were a bit hard and not well presented honestly. Overall, I won't mind going back, it's good to have a restaurant serving several vegan dishes in Bergamo. It's not a fully vegan eatery, they also serve fish (this is the reason for having "Macro" in the name). It was not an issue for me, but I guess it's good to know it."

"As a vegan travelling through the smaller parts of countries I am always happy and excited to visit local plant-based establishments. Bistrot Macro Vegan is very beautiful and nice restaurant with a friendly stuff and owner. There was a great variety of pure Vegan options and some sea food (which of course I didn’t try). The food I tried was very good. The vegan chicken might be the softest and juiciest vegan chicken tried. The chocolate-coffee dessert (I guess vegan version of Tiramisu) was also very tasty, but might have needed another second out of the fridge (as it was bit too cold) Buffling thing for me were opening hours as during the week they only offer a lunch hours, and most of the dishes I would prefer as a dinner course. But here of course I don’t know the local eating culture to really know what is better for restaurant. Overall, definitely a great restaurant and eating experience!"

"It's really easy to see that Massimiliano puts all his passion into the food he serves. Every ingredient is bio and he makes sure all the process to get it to the table is the healthiest and the best he can serve to his customers. Tania serves and treats us with all the love she can give to us. The experience we had in Bistrot Macro Vegan was beautiful, in all the ways. I really recommend it to anyone, it doesn't matter if you are vegan or not. I will make sure I visit them again next time I go to Bergamo."
